The Bioterrorism (BT) Breakfast Series provides a unique opportunity to learn about critical and timely information regarding disaster response and participate in discussion with your peers. Additionally, the series provides a networking forum for disaster preparedness leadership professionals throughout Texas.

In March 2004, the Institute hosted the first BT Breakfast for Texas. The first event featured Dennis Perotta, State Epidemiologist of the Texas Department of Health. The discussion focused on how state and federal policy impacts the sustainability of disaster preparedness and response funding. Over 70 disaster preparedness leaders from across the state participated in the inaugural event.
